Evangelicals encouraging and promoting Christian Discipleship within Leicester Diocese by
- by being rooted in the Scriptures
- by being led by the Holy Spirit
- by proclaiming Salvation in Christ Alone
Following a number of years of inactivity, the Leicester Diocesan Evangelical Fellowship (DEF) began to take a new shape on the 27 June 2013 at St. Martin's House Leicester.
At that meeting a number of people said they would be willing to serve on a DEF committee. That group met on the 13 February 2014 and elected Michael Broadley (Team Rector at Emmanuel Loughborough) as chair.
The group also elected Helen Bence, Barry Hill, Simon Wearn and Tim Phillips (Vice-Chair) with others to be invited to join the group.
On the 24 March 2014, the committee met for the first full meeting, welcoming Alison Roche and Noreen Mewies to the committee.
